The Retrospective Album gets its name due to the fact that these songs were actually written some time ago. The were revisited, relearned, re-recorded, and compiled into an album of their own.

VOLTA MEMORIA

A coherent desire is believed to unachievable. It has exists only in fantasy. Now an unexpected and miraculous opportunity to have merely a taste of this aspiration has manifested. The effects of this fantasy-turned reality are more fulfilling than ever dreamed. However, this experience has inescapably developed an immediate and intense emotional addiction due to the long wishing and yearning. Although it was thought to be a once in a lifetime opportunity, the likelihood of recurrences becomes reassuringly apparent.

As hope and anticipation upsurge, the recurrences are immediately and swiftly rebuffed. The answers why will never be clear. The greatest and cruelest tantalization imaginable has resulted in endless lingering with self-blame, self-derogation, and constant denial. It is clear that things have worsened since the long-time dream has been temporarily achieved. The only endowment from this experience is a memory, soon to become a dream again.

MESSAGE IN SACRIFICE

My call soars through the endless skies
The void of reason leaves me desperate
A divine moral forgoes my unity
They leave me no choice.

The hereafter presents to me a message
Quickly I piece the puzzle together
My misfortune begins to find reason
Afforded by the life that is beyond life.

Still I struggle to complete my puzzle
Eager to refill the void they created
But the final pieces that remain
Begin to reveal a man that looks and moves like me.

As I place the final piece of the image
He removes the final piece of myself
This puzzle is now complete
But I have ended where I began.
